Kiyosu Castle (World Wonder)

Kiyosu Castle, located in Owari Province, Japan (present-day western Aichi Prefecture), was built in 1405 as a strategic junction for controlling the Ise Kaid? and other major roads. During the Sengoku period, Oda Nobunaga defeated the Kiyosu Branch of Oda Clan in the Battle of Kiyosu and captured Kiyosu Castle. He then lured and killed Oda Nobuyuki, his rebellious younger brother, to Kiyosu Castle to consolidate his rule over Owari Province, and used it as a base from which to achieve hegemony in Japan. Ironically, after Oda Nobunaga was killed in the Honn?-ji Incident, his retainers held the Kiyosu Conference here to decide on the election of the Oda family as the master – and to divide up the territory left behind by Oda Nobunaga.
Grants a Spy and +1 Spy capacity. Combat units within 6 tiles of a friendly Spy receive +6 Combat Strength when attacking district defenses. Provides the same defensive bonuses as the Fort improvement. Must be built adjacent to the City Center. +2 Amenities +6 Gold Unlocked at the Gunpowder technology.
