Loyalist forces have been stubbornly holding out in this administrative government building for 5 days, showing heavy resistance against our siege. However, victories in other parts of the capital have given us access to more supplies, and we have gradually secured a perimeter to cut off reinforcements from flowing in. Those who have realized the futility of their situation have surrendered, but the remainder who haven’t are fanatical loyalists with nothing to lose.
Our fighters have observed many soldiers and internal troops from the Ministry of Domestic Affairs (MoDA) defending this structure, which explains the stubborn defense. However, our superiors, and some of the public as well, are becoming very curious about the importance of this building, as no other garrison of such significance has been encountered at other boring government offices. Thanks to their inquisitiveness, we welcomed fighters sent from other parts of the city who have helped us make entry a few hours ago.
Floorplans taken from the security centre on the ground floor show an archive room on the third floor. The MoDA occupies that entire floor, and their atrocities and abuses were a key spark that ignited this whole civil war. It’s likely that there would be critical records and evidence that could help us prove the legitimacy of our cause to the international community and attract their support. Knowing this, command has urgently ordered leaders on the ground to scramble together the best fighters in the building to start clearing the floor. Friendly guerillas in the adjacent building have also agreed to help, and they are actively trying to breach a wall open.
Everyone is anxiously waiting to see what documents come to light, and your team will be the first to lay their hands on it.
