Metalworking Reforged
I made this mod for my personal use but I decided to share it in case anyone is interested.
I felt that the iron and steel crafting system was a bit exaggerated or inconsistent so I decided to take a look at it and this is what I came up with.
CHANGES:
Steel bars are now made from 4 iron ore (before 4 iron plates)
Now for armor plates you will have to make iron plates which translates into more effort and time to compensate for the material you now save, Armor plates are now crafted from 1 iron plates (before, 4 raw iron)
Chainmail Sheets are now crafted from 1 steel bars (before 3 steel bars)
Making chainmail sheets is 20% slower but crafting chainmail armour is 20% faster.
Now making chainmail sheets uses the Labouring skill instead of the Armour Smith skill
Chainmail sheet fabrication bench can be placed outside and no longer consumes electricity
I have increased the amount of material that each material manufacturing station or machine can store
