THE IMPERIAL LEGION
THIS MOD IS PATCH-17 COMPATIBLE ONLY
To switch to ‘Patch-17’: Go to your Steam page and then select LIBRARY. Right click on your game ‘ROME II’ on the left. Go to properties. Select BETAS in the pop-up screen. In here you can select ‘patch_17’.
This mod upgrades your units further into the imperial age, together with new units such as Praetoriani Urbicus, Equites Praetoriani Praesidii, Manipulus Lanceam (spear unit), Auxilia Sagittarii Superior (missle unit), Manipulus Vetust (veteran melee unit) and Equites Arcubus Ligneis (missle cavalry).
In order to upgrade your units, make sure you research "Professional Soldiery" before "Moulded Architecture" (end construction) and "Mysticism" (end philosophy). Your legionary cohorts can also be upgraded to armoured legionaries when "Mysticism" is researched, upgrade to the imperial version when "Moulded Architecture" is researched. You can research the other techs before "professional soldiery", but this could make it so that some units will be temporately unavailable until "profesional soldiery" is researched (they will be available again when this tech is researched)

– AVE_LEGIO_IMPERIALIS_150_20_units units x 1.5 for 20 units (240 m/u inf; 120 m/u cav…)
– AVE: Legio Imperialis OPTIMUM units x 1 for 60 units (160 m/u inf; 140 m/u ranged; 120 m/u cav)
PLEASE DOWNLOAD ‘AVE_GIGAS’ WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE MODS FOR UNITS x 1.25 OR 1.5 IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO TRANSPORT YOUR UNITS (HUGHE TRANSPORT SHIPS).
