More Black Death Options
A simple mod that adds more options for the Bubonic Plague and the Black Death through the game settings.
Do you like to play on Non-Historical and Unlimited Black Death settings like me (maybe we are mad, or just like the occasional pain), and just like me you think that it can be a bit too random?
Maybe you didn’t want to get the Black Death merely 2 years into the game in 869, even on the "Organic" setting, (This happened to me, and it was my first ever Black Death!) or you get through the Black Death only to have it happen again just merely 8 years later, and then another one happens 17 years later, and then anothe-
This mod adds a few more options regarding the Spawning of the Black Death, and some extra choices. It’s mainly intended to be used with the non-historical and unlimited Black Death, but there are a few settings that suit the "only once" style as well.
The currently added settings;
– Historical Random: The Black Death will follow its "historical" path from Asia to Europe, but will happen at a random date.
– Earliest Possibility: Limit when the Black Death can spawn at the earliest.
– Recency Limitation: Limit when another Apocalyptic Black Death is allowed spawn after one has passed.
– Outbreak Types: Control how you want the Bubonic Plague outbreaks to be. Maybe you want the outbreaks to be always Apocalyptic Black Deaths, or you want it happen once and then only show up as Minor or Major outbreaks.
– Outbreak Rates: Controls the likelihood of the Minor and Major Plague Outbreaks if you choose to have them.
What this mod doesn’t do:
This doesn’t touch the spawn rate of the plagues at all. It still respects the disease spawn rates of the game. It just adds some limitations as to how and when the Bubonic Plague can spawn.
Compatibility:
This mod overwrites the "bubonic_plague" in "common/epidemics/00_epidemics.txt" and "black_death_occurrence" and "black_death_frequency" game rules in "common/game_rules/00_game_rules.txt" The files themselves are not overwritten, just the strings.
If another mod is directly changing the "bubonic_plague", it will not be compatible. One will overwrite the other, or it will require patching. Other than that, it should be pretty much compatible with everything.
Achievement compatible. Every setting is allowed for achievements, even changed the base game Black Death Rules to not block achievements on certain settings.

If you have the mod, it will allow you to change the settings during the game.
Only has English localization.
