Backpack Crafting 101
I’m pretty sure there may be other mods out there that add backpack crafting but none of them had quite what I was looking for and I wanted the modding practice anyway.
I tried my best to integrate backpack crafting without making it stick our like a sore thumb in the world of Kenshi. In order to craft the backpacks you will need to research the appropriate tech which is done as usual. The bags unlock in tiers and are tied to different levels of the research bench. In order to craft the bags you will need to then build the bag crafting bench and buy blueprints from the appropriate traders.
Any trader that you can commonly buy backpacks from should also now sell their blueprints as well with two exceptions. If you want thieves backpacks you will need to talk to the special equipment vendor in the thieves guild buildings. If you would like to craft medium and large trader’s backpacks you will need to research a final tech at the level 5 research bench.
