Better safe than sorry… Better safe than sorry…

Unremarkable on their own, but don’t underestimate the power of their horde! The Infected from Left 4 Dead!

Infected is a very fast rush-down character, who also has several grab attacks. While the grabs themselves may not be very strong, they help to build up a meter that can turn the common infected into a Monstrous Tank.

Tank

The Infected has the ability to turn into a Tank during certain attacks.
Meter is built by landing grabs on enemies. These include:

-Nspecial
-Fspecial
-DSpecial
-Grounded Uspecial

To turn into a Tank, press SPECIAL during the beginning of Fstrong or Ustrong (Dstrong coming later)

Tank Fstrong is a huge massive arm slam forward, with a shockwave.

Tank Ustrong launches a rock upwards. The Rock can be thrown to the left or right by holding said directions while throwing. And can be thrown higher or lower, depending on if up or down is held during the throw.

Activate Infinite Tank Meter in training mode to test with these attacks better.

Boomer

The Boomer is the Infected’s Parry. When hit, they will explode and cover any opponents around them in bile.
When an enemy is covered in bile, the Infected’s normally slippery turn around becomes almost instant, allowing them to weave and move around Incredibly fast.

Also increases the Infected’s wall climbing speed too.

Grounded Attacks

Jab
Jab is a repeated set of swipes that moves the Infected forward, this move goes offstage and transitions into Nair, which acts similarly to Jab.

FTilt
A two hit attack that has the potential to slide very far based on how fast you are going. The first hit can also be used to combo into other attacks.

UTilt

An overhead swing, hits mostly behind and above the infected, and leaps into the air.
This attack continues to teach higher in height if used multiple times in a row. Any other attack will reset the height, except Nair and Jab, along with Dashing and Crouching.

DTilt
A simple double handed swipe that pulls opponents in, and puts them behind the Infected.

DAttack
The Infected lunges forwards, and punches downwards. This attack can go offstage to hit people too.
Holding down while falling with this attack will allow the Infected to go through platforms.

FStrong
A simple punch that slightly moves infected forward. While running, strong can be pressed to perform a running version of Fstrong. This version is a little weaker, but obviously more mobile. You can also continue running after doing the running Fstrong.
Trying to run offstage will put the Infected into pratfall if they have not hit anyone.

UStrong
Ustrong is a manic leap upward that goes higher the longer it is charged. This attack can also be canceled when it hits someone.

DStrong
While the strongest of Infected’s strongs, it has a sourspot, and is quite stubby. The infected does a kick forward, and slams their foot down afterwards.
The second part of this attack can be canceled by holding SHIELD down.
This attack can also be reversed on the second hit.

Aerial Attacks

NAir

Nair is a multi hit swipe that can transition into Jab when it lands on the ground.

UAir

Uair transforms the Infected into a spitter, and they trash their neck above them twice. The second hit is decently powerful, although it becomes difficult for the first hit to link into it at higher percentages.

When SPECIAL is pressed during the move, they will spit an acidic projectile forward.
The trajectory is based on if you tap the SPECIAL button, or hold the SPECIAL button. Upwards, and Downwards.

This projectile will turn into a small pile of acid once it touches a floor, doing constant damage to anyone who stands in it.
Enemies covered in Bile will have their Bile timer start over if hit by any of the Spitter’s acid.

FAir
A Simple double arm swing, not a very strong move, but combos very well.

DAir
The Infected attempts to use a melee weapon, resulting in more of a shove than a swing of the weapon.
This attack normally spikes, but holding ATTACK lets them hold the weapon out a little longer, allowing in a week, but lingering hitbox.
This can be potentially used to catch people off guard, or to combo off of the weak hit.

BAir
The Infected flails an arm and leg backwards, thrusting themself backwards as well. This attack can be angled to go higher or lower, but only once per airtime. Afterwards, they will still go backwards, but not gain any height.
This attack also turns the Infected around after it is done.

Special Attacks

The Infected specials can all add different amounts of Meter to the Tank Meter.

NSpecial
Turning into a Smoker, the Infected shoots out their intoungstine, which can be aimed any angle in front of the Smoker. Enemies grabbed by the tongue are pulled back to the smoker, which then adds 2 out of 10 points to the Tank Meter.
This attack can be canceled early if an enemy has not been hit yet by pressing SHIELD, this will be useful, as the move lasts a very long time otherwise.
Also slows down the Infected’s fall speed while active.

FSpecial
Turning into a Charger, the Infected rushes forward, and can continue to go forward until a special is released. They will Grab the first person they come in contact with, and continue to run for a certain amount of time, depending on how much damage the grabbed enemy has.
This attack will go into pratfall if it ends offstage. But upon hitting an opponent, will give 2 out of 10 points to the Tank Meter.
The speed the Charger goes depends on the speed moving beforehand.

DSpecial
Turning into a Jockey, the Infected jumps forwards, and attempts to grab someone. While a grab, this attack actually bases its position off of the opponent and their current momentum, rather than stopping the opponent in place.
After grabbing someone, the Jockey will slash and jump off, the direction of the jump depends on the direction held down.

This attack normally only has 1 air time use, but successfully landing the attack will let the Infected do it again, allowing for continuous grabs if the Jockey can predict their opponents DI.
Grants 1 out of 10 points to the Tank Meter.

USpecial
USpecial has 2 different attacks, grounded and air versions. Both turning the Infected into a Hunter.
The air version lets the Hunter leap forward a good distance. Doing minimal knockback to anyone they hit.
Double tapping SPECIAL at the start of the attack will make the Hunter do a more vertical leap rather than horizontal, useful for stages with low walls.

Aiming down during the start of Uspecial will make the Hunter dive downwards rather than up, and can be used as a weak spiking attack.

The grounded version must be charged for a while, but is canceled if SPECIAL is not held the entire time.
Once the move is successfully charged, the Hunter leaps much farther than before. And grabs anyone they hit, even ignoring super armor.

Unlike the other grabs, this one is actually quite powerful, and can get early kills if landed at the right times.
Holding up or down also affects the trajectory the Hunter will leap when the attack is ready.
This attack gives 3 out of 10 points to the Tank Meter.

Other

This Character was released for the Horror Jam, and as such, some things were delayed in order to release on time.
The Steam page will also be updated eventually with a video trailer and gifs in order to better demonstrate moves in the description.
