Canada Nation Mod for Rise of Nations Extended Edition
EDIT: updated to fix a minor error that removed the Modern era tank unit from the Chinese in the modern age.
UPDATE: Mod updated with new unique unit! Canada now gets access to the CF-18 Jet Fighter in the Information Age!
UPDATE 2: Mod updated with another new unique unit. Canada can now train Canadian Militia infantry in the Enlightenment age. Canadian Militia replaces the default Musketeer. North West Mounted Police Cavalry unit updated with a different model and new texture. Both Canadian Militia and North West Mounted Police also have customized unit icons.
UPDATE 3: Just a minor update that I had been meaning to do for a long time but never got around to it. I reworked the Royal Canadian Rifles unit so it has a better looking uniform and more appropriate model. Also finally corrected Stephen Harper’s name.
Hello, my name is Kaiser_Mobius, and this is my Canada Mod for Rise of Nations Extended Edition.
This is a simple mod that replaces the Russians with the Canadians. For this I have added some new Unique Units for Canada, gave them some basic reskinned textures based on some default unit textures, gave Canada the British Lancaster Bomber (so now both Canada and Britain have them), and changed the names of the Russian cities and leaders to Canadian ones.
This is the first version of the mod, which I may update in the future. I might add some new units, perhaps alter the texture files, and adjust the nation powers. At the moment Canada just uses the default Russian nation powers, since they very closely fit the powers I wanted Canada to have anyway (larger borders, higher attrition, better oil production). If I find out how to add entirely new nation powers, I would like to give Canada larger food and maybe timber production, but that is not very high on my list of priorities.
To install, you should just need to click the subscribe button. To play, start a singleplayer game with the Russians as the player nation, and in the Mods drop down menu on the game setup screen, select Canada Mod and it will work. You can enable or disable the mod at your leisure this way.
