Ireland Nation Mod for Rise of Nations Extended Edition.
Hello, Kaiser_Mobius here with another nation mod for Rise of Nations. This time I have added Ireland to the game, replacing the Bantu.
Ireland was probably one of the most requested nations to be added to the game, initially I had resisted but I changed my mind after figuring out how I could make Ireland interesting. To do so I have given the Irish 6 new units: the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Raider to replace the standard musketeer in the Enlightenment Age, the Free State Rifleman and Rolls Royce armoured car in the industrial age, Patrol Boats in the Modern Age, and finally Peacekeepers and Humvees for the Information Age.
Most of these units just use some very basic retextures of existing models. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Raider is a redone version of the Confederate Riflemen from my Confederacy mod, while the Free State Rifleman is a slightly altered version of the American Marine Rifleman. Peacekeepers are reskinned versions of the regular Assault Infantry with modern Irish military camouflage and blue helmets, while the Rolls Royce is a recoloured version of the regular armoured car with some Irish military emblems on it.
To download the mod, just click on the subscribe button. To play as Ireland, start a custom game with the Bantu as the player nation and Ireland selected from the mods drop down menu.
Please note: I have experienced an issue where the game will crash after you end a game. I suspect this is in relation to the most recent patch, but I am not sure. Also, when you reach the information age, the option to upgrade to main battle tank’s can be researched 3 times. I think this bug is related to the Bantu, and I am not sure how to fix it. It doesn’t affect the game though, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
