Helsinki populated
Helsinki map with an attempt a realism. Except things to be off as this is my first landscape. The elevation data will most likely be incorrect at in many places.
I tried to make the landmass in the peninsula look like it did in the 1940s. The map extends all the way to Vuosaari in the east, border of Vantaa in the north and Matinkylä in the west. I kept the city size to small, so that it fits nicely with the small towns of the main game, though I don’t know how balanced it is.
I named some locations of the locations around the capital area. There are 6 border crossings and 3 electric connections. There is no oil on the map and the other resources are randomly placed.
There are villages in Pasila, Leppävaara, Matinkylä (single house of Matinkartano) and Malmi. I built the area around Senaatin tori and Kauppatori, with Helsinki and Uspenski Cathedrals in their respective places. Finnish Parliament and national museum also have place holder buildings.
I used to Siberian climate from the Biome pack.
This is not gameplay tested! I might continue to work on it. Feedback is very welcome! I will most likely read them, don’t expect answers immediately.
