You can’t have any fun Napoleonic scenarios without Frenchman! I mean, they were the whole point of the conflict! Welcome to the second revamp of the Ravenfield: Napoleonic project, which started with the very first Ravenfield addon I uploaded, way back in December o’ last year. Today I bring forth these French skins, whether you wish to blast them apart or cheer a long life for the emperor, get yours to-day! While not quite as many skins as my revamped British pack, the uniforms here looked at least somewhat different and not just facing colors and what style of heavy, uncomfortable shako you were wearing. From standard linemen to the Garde Impériale, you’ll meet your fancy here.

Units

Muck around with six skins:

  • French Fusilier – Early
    • This soldier sports the early habit-longe jacket and is perhaps the most famous depiction of a soldier from this period.
  • French Fusilier – Late
    • The Bardin Regulations of 1812 saw the adoption of a new uniform, generally referred to as the habit-veste, which looked more along the appearances of other uniforms of the time period, those being high-waisted coatees.
  • French Irish Legion
    • The partially famous Irish Legion, they sported green uniforms with yellow piping.
  • French Light Infantry
    • The uniform was similar to the main uniform apart from decorations, most everything was blue with white trim, and white buttons.
  • French Old Guard
    • The most elite of Napoleon’s soldiers was the Old Guard, part of the larger Imperial Guard. These men boasted far better equipment and uniforms than others, and was one of the oldest units under Napoleon I; one cannot talk about French regiments without bringing them up, shadowed in a mass amount of myth and legend, a wall of cannonfire bringing about their end.
  • French Dutch Grenadier
    • Fulfill your Holdfast: Nations at War desires by playing as the 3rd Guard, sporting the white uniform, other regiments also received white uniforms for a time, although none quite so famous as this group.

I employed a variety of references on here, from Napoleonic reenactment groups on Facebook, uniform reproducers, and a couple of my books. I am by no means an expert on the French, though I’ve done them better justice than with my original pack.
