-R2- Astra Mk V
Presenting the Astra Mk V, the latest build from Filbert Shipyards!
The Astra Mk V is the latest in the Astra Module line and has been built from the ground up for RE2. The Mk V is a 4 bay Astra system carrier. It features a steel hull with hardened steel reinforcements around generator and CPU areas should it ever need to venture where drones might poke at it. It can be flown in first person, unlike the old Astra models, and the modules dock at a 45 degree angle allowing for maximum visibility while inside the new Astra Farm and Factory modules.
The Astra Mk 4 spawns at Core-7 but can be upgraded to at least Core-9. It comes stock with twin Advanced Generators but they can be removed and a small reactor put in their place. There is also room to add either twin advanced plasma turbines or small reactors or advanced gens in the forward section of each tip of the ship.
The ship comes with a Teleporter, Advanced Repair bay (removing the carbon blocks around it will allow for upgrading to the new T3 repair bay), Internal hangar, flat-top CV landing deck, Captain’s suite, and enough plasma power to idle with shields and at least one turret on without fuel burn.
Also new to the RE2 Astra Line: All ships in the Astra Line can be switched between two different color palettes now: Astra Standard and Dadrick’s Stellar Dynamics paint job. To swap the paints just copy the code from the included LCD and paste it into your color/texture tool.
