WAR IN THEIA – 534
This is custom Pordier at War lore, and should not be taken as anything official.
Now, what really is this? This is the result of about 2 years worth of lore, dedication by 8 dudes (the 8th one in a separate case), and us generally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around. We started with a custom continent (Arvonia), and then expanded to rewriting Pordier lore, then to Gaia, and to another custom continent (Ostenland, which I made specifically for this map).
Consider this to be one part in me and my friends’ magnum opus, the thing that we’ve worked on and off on for 2 years, becoming what it is at this very moment in time, when I’m writing this and preparing to upload.

A powder keg in Pordier is bound to explode, and one wrong move can spark the next deadly war. A decade prior (524), the kingdoms of Oskovia and Rostora were at war, the forces of the queen of Rostora and king of Oskovia fighting for 2 years, until it resorted in an Oskovian victory, capturing resource-rich lands in the north. Tensions would remain high, but the Oskovians had other ambitions: setting up a colony in northeastern Arvonia in 526, and strengthening the military to become the finest force in Pordier, inventing the aerial dreadnought in the early 520s and also harnessing rare earth elements in 532 to make battle mage.
In 530, however, the nation of Borden was invaded and occupied by the Oskovians swiftly, and then the nation of Adusasha invaded southern regions of the nation, taking them from Oskovian hands and ending the war in the dissolution of the Bordenese state.
Rostora saw the invasion, and then decided to stroke the flames, funding and equipping Bordenese partisans, along with building up a military alliance with the Adusashians, forming the Anti-Oskovian Pact. The Oskovians, meanwhile, figured out the plans of the Rostorans, strengthen ties with their northern neighbor, Noxuia, but only for convenience’s sake.
The powder keg will spark any moment, all it takes is a failed debate between politicians and parliaments, and this will affect not only the warring parties, but neighbors and the world.
The continent of Arvonia was once at constant conflict, with 92 combined years of bloodshed, along with only 6 years of peace interspersed between, spanning between a year to mere days, but the continent has stabilized. The states of Novaria, Shturovatia, Sarmatia, Merkland and Safland have been aligned with each other for decades at this point, having strong relationships with one another, and reveling in their natural wealth. The nations to the west, meanwhile, are in a crisis. They have used up their wealth and resources so much that they have a predicted date for when they’ll run out: in merely 10 years. They were already unstable to begin with, with the nation of Vesperia invading the Republic of Slavomir and establishing a client state in occupied territory, then invading and annexing southern Verdiania. Now, they have to get along instead of fight each other, and the nations of Vesperia, Verdiania, Slavomir, Aerilonia and Zephyria form an economic alliance, with the Republic of Solven(ia) being in it until the alliance grew into a military one, and instead pursued ties with Merkland and Safland.
The western Arvonian nations are now desperate, and are looking to the eastern nations, prior prejudices and envy boiling over to a point of the entire continent being on a string, a thin red line between hope and darkness. One can only hope the continent doesn’t plunge itself into war.
The continent of Gaia has had a recent record of peace, but it’s history has been marked with constant conflict and blood shedded in the name of glory. The Kingdom of Umbertia has been the sole great power of the continent for about 113 years, engaging in constant warfare with its neighbors until subjecting then to annexation and ethnic cleansing. It has the neighboring Republic of Collazo and Reino de Barrueco in a tough spot, as they must tread a line between their own interests and not angering their western neighbor. The Kingdom of Stahoglou has been neck-to-neck with Parsongsant and the Reino de Barrueco, being the victim of several land grabs dating back decades ago. The Kingdom of Kalina is suffering an ethnic conflict in its borders, and is having issues with their western proxy state, also at risk of breaking free and rebelling. The continent is close to it’s breaking point, and there’s not much one can do.
The continent of Ostenland is one of three states: the Helghan Empire, Zasnyan Empire, and the remnants of the Lucianus Empire. The loose confederation of Lucianian states stand alone against the Zasnyan and Helghanst imperialists, and if they fail, they will be the subject of ruthless genocide. The Helghan Empire, in their pursuit of personal interests, are looking west and eastward, to the confederation and to subject more Kalinian territories to their rule. The Zasnyan Empire is looking south also, but are aware of the Helghan threat, and are accordingly prepared.
