Staves of Winter
This is a small mod that slightly adjusts the Tome of the Cold Dark. The design of this tome has always bothered me because despite being themed as a hybrid cold and dark tome it has barely any darkness-themed content; only one out of the five skills is darkness-themed. I think it would have made more sense as a dedicated cold-themed tome instead.
This mod was created as an accompaniment to my Cloak and Dagger Tomes mod, which adds a new dedicated Darkness-themed Tier 3 tome that repurposes the Veil of Darkness spell. But it can also be used as a standalone mod.
- Replaced the "Veil of Darkness" strategic spell with a new cold-themed "Staves of Winter" enchantment.
Staves of Winter is an enchantment for support units which grants them the "Winter’s Blessing" ability; a buff that can give a friendly unit added frost damage and chance to freeze with their attacks.
- Renamed the Tome of the Cold Dark as the Tome of the Frozen Realm.
This mod may not be compatible with other mods that make changes to the Tome of the Cold Dark.
