Ghastly Deadlands
I always felt the Deadlands never truly lived up to its name. So its got acid, big deal. Pack some raingear and some snacks. I’m not worried. As far as I can tell this place is safer than the border zone!
This mod seeks to make the Deadlands ACTUALLY hazardous to life. First and foremost, by blanketing the entire region in unavoidable toxic gas. The whole biome is one gigantic kill zone to non-robots. You’ll need a gas mask. Also, you’ll need to find a way to protect yourself from acid too! Fun!
For the sake of keeping things vanilla such that you the user do not need to rely on other mods for full protection, I’ve added 10% acid resistance to turtleneck shirts. Leather, dyed, or standard, turtlenecks will give you the last bit of resistance you need to fully protect from both elements. What are the other items you ask? You figure it out.
Also:
New enemies to spice things up. This region always felt too easy in that regard too. There’s big slow dumb iron spiders and uhh, more iron spiders.
Now there are scarce packs of Feral Thralls who want to beat you up and attack your base! Also one other new enemy type that’s a relatively rare spawn.
