Perpetual Crusades: The Valiant Souls Update!
From the original creator (which is not me) of the very popular Metal Slug Domination mods, as well as GWO
Perpetual Crusades is set in an alternative low-fantasy timeline that places itself within similar events to the Crusades. Set on the continent of Arnen, it features a multitude of races from humans, elves, and dwarves, to gnolls, loxodons and Felids. Set long after the fall of the hegemonic power within the world, The Romulius Empire, now, new powers emerge to fill the power vacuum left by the fallen Romulii empire.
>Taking inspiration from various sources to help flesh out the unit and faction rosters, most units in this mod have model variants of the same unit, ensuring that you do not feel a sense of repetition with the unit flavour.
>Stackable upgrades accessible in the midgame and relevant into the late game.
>Instructor NPCs near your base to advise you on what to do for players who aren’t familiar with the mod.
>Mid to late game faction specialization feature where you can choose 1 out of 5 specializations in order to buff a specific unit line up and gain special units.
>Unique hostile creeps that randomly generate across the map (triggered from starting units in the lobby as RPG).
>Evil Night mode (triggered from starting units in the lobby) that spawns hostile mobs to attack every player at night.
>Bosses and some elite neutral enemies.
>Faction exclusive AI-bosses that spawn after destroying enough buildings.
>Neutral Trading shops that spawn every night and have a chance to reward their destruction with an elf servant.
>More features can be found through gameplay…

-Heavily inspired by the Mongol Empire, including East Asian folklore.
-An offensive faction with the best mobility, structures are not sturdy but they can be moved, units are solid across the roster.
-A secret movement that has finally made its move upon the lands of Arnen, consists of various outcasted races, such as orcs and goblinoids, Drows, ararchnoids, and even demons from Tartarus, united under one banner but for diverse reasons and causes.
-Takes inspiration from various medias of evil factions
-An aggressive faction that heavily emphasizes expansion and damage over all else, their units are correspondingly fragile but they are able to dominate in terms of dps compared to other factions.
Gameplay
-Adds in the Valiants! similar to Heroes of other games, these units start out weak but can eventually become almost invincible with the right setup, hireable from a Guild Hall, costs 200 glory per Valiant.

-Adjusted range unit performance.
-Adjusted melee unit speed.
-Some units have been replaced with alternate versions (previous updates)
-In order for neutral creep camps to spawn, turn on RPG mode in the lobby before starting a match
-Evil Night has phases, higher glory will activate evil night phases, with stronger and stronger monsters spawning

I would like to gravely apologize to everyone who have been waiting for this mod to update for months, real life took much of my attention from being able to consistently give updates on the status of this mod’s development, in truth, several major updates have occurred in the time between this mod’s privatization (which was when I was supposed to start updating this page) up to this current and final update for Perpetual Crusades
I had waited too long for a more finalized version of Perpetual Crusades to be made before I felt it appropriate to update the preview images and description of this mod page, leading to immense delays, and with my school taking up what time I could have used, due to this I was not able to upload the Gameplay Overhaul major update which brought too many changes for me to fully cover here, which also included major graphic overhaul (again) as well
I feel that I have robbed the Steam players of this mod the chance to provide feedback and suggestions so again I apologize, there will be no further updates to this mod according to the developer Eisen, only bug fixes will be done, any gameplay decisions are final and cannot be negotiated, I hope you enjoy playing the mod as much as I have.
