Time Machine PLUS is a ground-up remake of the classic Time Machine mod by tarako, with more fixes, more options, and more features.
If you continuously use any machine/beggar that’s been enabled in the config, time will accelerate, making min-maxing slightly less soul-crushing!
These mods have built-in compatibility with their machines:
For any modders who want to hook up their own machines, it can be done in about 2 minutes:
- Find and open [TEMPLATE]TM+_compatibility.lua in this mod’s folder.
- Edit the table to include all of your machines’ Variants, Names, and default settings.
- Set your mod’s name and compatibility version (this will let you override old data on every player’s save if you ever need to add/remove/change anything).
- Set up the code to run inside your mod, either by pasting it into your main or including the template.
- Success!
ModConfigMenu is highly recommended for changing your settings, but you can toggle individual machines using console commands (type ‘TM+_Help’ to see all of them).
The general settings you can choose are:
- Your minimum/maximum speed
- The rate of acceleration/deceleration
- The grace period after breaking contact before time starts to slow back down
- How easy/difficult it is to slide off a machine/beggar
- Whether or not you need to actively hold a movement button to activate the mod’s effect
- Preventing contact damage from enemies spawned by machines for a short time
