Howdy folks! Are you in the festive mood in that dank dirty basement? Well I’ve got great news! This mod adds a whole new playable character (and tainted variant) just in time for the holidays!
Each of the characters comes equipped with a pocket active as well as their own unique mechanics that are sure to jingle your bells or whatever the hell.
Let’s hop down that descriptive chimney!

SANTA

Santa starts with the "Wrapping Paper," which, on activation, turns all items in the room into Mystery Gifts. So if you see an item you don’t want, wrap that puppy up and turn it into something else!

Alternatively, though, if you want to be a good Santa Claus, you can take those Mystery Gifts and give them to the Shopkeepers and Beggars that populate your run!
Shopkeepers, as well as each different Beggar type, will give you a fancy stats up as well as some additional effects! Each giftable child will pay out with 1 out of 10 unique effects!
A quick description of the types of payouts to expect.

Shopkeepers – A smaller stat up and a random pickup.

Beggar – Something related to Treasure Rooms, Shops, or Donations.

Bomb Bum – Something related to explosions, bombs, or fire.

Key Master – Something related to extra pathways and rooms.

Battery Bum – Something related to technology, gaming, or batteries.

Rotten Beggar – Something related gross stuff, farts, bugs, death, yucky.

Devil Beggar – Something relating to dealing damage, taking damage, or killing enemies.

Shell Game – Something that could potentially be risky.

Hell Game – Something almost certainly risky.

In addition, every time you give a gift to a shopkeeper or beggar, you increase the odds that beggars may replace shopkeepers during the run, giving you more odds to find more of those sweet sweet good boys-n-girls.

TAINTED SANTA

Tainted Santa starts with the "Naughty List," which can only gain charge from blowing up those naughty children. Find a Shopkeeper or a "Beggar," blow them up, add a charge!
Whenever you activate the Naughty List, it will give you a small stats up and grant you some sort of Christmas Themed effect/item per activation. These effects range from Common/Uncommon/Rare. Here’s some examples.

1st Activation – 75% chance to get a random Sack from the Sack Pool. 20% chance to get a random Milk from the Milk Pool. Or a 5% chance to get the "White Elephant" effect.
2nd Activation – 75% chance to get a random Familiar. 20% chance to get a random book. 5% chance to get a "Holiday Shopping" effect.
and then activations 3-12 all also have 3 unique options that they’ll pull from with those same odds. LOTS OF POSSIBILITIES, Lots of fun.

Now here’s the catch. Tainted Santa doesn’t get Beggars. Tainted Santa is the Santa who has to deal with all the horrible, nasty children. The NAUGHTY ONES.
AKA, the Battle Beggars. Every Beggar type is trying to kill Tainted Santa, so some rooms that once used to be harmless are now potentially deadly, so don’t get caught lackin’ or them kids may get smackin’.
These Battle Beggars will still drop their usual drops like they would if you paid them, and upon defeat will spawn an item from their respective item pools.

In addition, every time you blow up a shopkeeper or defeat a Battle Beggar, you increase the odds that Battle Beggars may replace Shopkeepers during the run. So be on the lookout for that!

Keep in mind, this HAS NOT been tested with Repentance+ and DOES require Repentogon to function. That all said, it’s my first character mod and I worked real hard on it. I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!
