IMPORTANT: This mod needs to be installed manually for first launch
Find and run the Installer.bat file, it should be located in your steam library folder. Usually it’s:
Do not copy the Installer.bat file anywhere, it’s designed to be run in that folder.
What does this do?
It automatically copies a file into your Supreme Ruler Ultimate install directory. This file is being loaded by the game when it launches and then automatically loads the trainer from the workshop library.
Since SRU_Internal directly manipulates the game’s process memory it’s possible that your antivirus flags this as harmful. That is a false positive. The Trainer is safe (Detailed Explanation below). If that happens, you need to manually add an exception in your antivirus to exclude the trainer file or the folder which contains the trainer file. If you don’t know how to do that just google the name of your AV (Windows Defender is the default) together with "add exclusion".
Start your game in windowed or borderless fullscreen mode (Tick the checkbox in the game settings under "My Options/Graphics/Run Game in Windowed Mode").
The trainer will automatically open an ingame Menu you can use as soon as you’re inside of a game. No Internet connection is required.
If you want to disable autoloading go to your Supreme Ruler Ultimate install path, find the "sru_internal_config.ini" file, find the "modenabled:true" line and change true to false

If you download a new unknow file, your AV (Antivirus) performs something called a "Heuristic analysis" to evaluate what the File/Program might do and compare it with a database of things that could be harmful. A good example for this is if a program listens for keypresses. SRU_Internal does this with the CAPSLOCK and CTRL Keys to check whether a player wants to paint the map or not. But the AV doesn’t know that, it just knows that said program listens for keypresses, and that other actual malicious programs listen for keypresses too, so it comes to the conclusion “oh, that’s dangerous”. And it’s not just that, game trainers/cheats will also manipulate process memory to change ingame variables (which in turn requires admin rights) etc. and this all accumulates together; basically, it’s too tasty for the AV to not flag it even though it’s harmless.
For Developers: .PDB files and Source Code is on Github.
Have Fun!
