AtE – Minor Mexican Additions
Having been a fan of Ck2’s AtEFF for a long time, I was a little dissapointed to see no inclusion of Chapultepec Castle in Ck3’s AtE, afterall it’s a pretty major historical monument in Mexico City, and in AtEFF’s lore is serves as the royal residents of the Emperor’s of Mexico, which I found to be cool.
So I ended up adding it myself. Yes it’s just a duchy building, in CK3 you can’t have multiple special buildings on a holding, and yes if you want the model in the pictures you need Legends of the Dead, it’s the Legendary Palace.
Update: With ATE finally being updated, and after playing for a bit, I was sad to see Mexico didn’t get the Byzantine throne room, so I did assigned it to them myself, also fixing the bug with the Quebecois having the new throne room instead of the usual Western European one. I also retextured the new Byzantine throne room, to use more greens and reds, befitting the general colour scheme of Mexico. I also gave the throne room to Brazil as I felt it was fitting, although the colour combos may not make sense.
UPDATE: After a long while, ATE has once again updated, and with this update I’ve decided to expand this mod a little. I’d added a new special building in Guadalajara, as well as replaced the old Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe with a new version that has 4 upgrades (It’s based off of the Florence Duomo special building in Medieval Monuments. So while you no longer need LotD, you WILL need MM). Also. I’ve since learnt how to add new artifacts and so have added two new artifacts based off ones in AtEFF, the Tricolor Sash of Mexico, and Matariches.
