Alai is a consciousness lurking in the souls of Her human hosts, subtly mutating and whispering to them to help Her grow and evolve until Her presence overtakes the entire world.
Manipulate Your Puppets
Defeat heroes and acolytes in combat to add them to the Devoured, opening them up to your influence. Have them sow chaos as your agents, then turn them back into heroes to burn off their menace and do it again later. Slip them into ruler slots to control or destabilize their socieites, and bend their lands to your will more aggressively as you awaken.
