Description:

Get Psyched!

The 2.5d Reich from Wolfenstein 3D has come to Garry’s Mod!

Don’t let the 2D nature of the nextbots fool you, because these aren’t mere Sanic clones that have been done to death several times with little creativity (you know who you are.) The Wolfenstein 3D Nextbots Pack adds a total of 29 nextbots (with three more on the way) into the game, with accurate stats, visuals, and near-accurate behavior.

The damage of each nextbot isn’t a fixed number either. Like in the original game, their damage is an RNG gamble, and so in one situation a lowly guard may barely do anything to your health and in the next moment one takes a decent chunk off your health. In addition, bosses can end you quickly if not careful. Figure out their patterns, and you can take them on.

Features:

Wolfenstein 3D:
– Guard
– Elite Guard
– Attack Dog
– Mutant
– Officer
– Hans Grosse
– Dr. Schabbs (Creates Mutants upon killing a target.)
– Mecha Hitler (Two phases.)
– Otto Giftmacher
– Gretel Grosse
– General Fettgesicht
– Fake Hitler

Spear of Destiny:
– Trans Grosse
– Barnacle Wilhelm
– Ubermutant
– Death Knight
– Ghost (Unkillable. Drains health slowly on contact.)
– Angel of Death

Return to Danger/the Ultimate Challenge:
– Lost Episodes Guard
– Lost Episodes Elite Guard
– Lost Episodes Officer
– Lost Episodes Attack Dog
– Submarine Willy
– Professor Quarkblitz
– The Axe
– The Robot
– Devil Incarnate
– Mutant Bat
– Ghoulish Ghost

Extras:
– Helper Dog (Much stronger variation of the attack dogs. Is friendly to the player.)

– Fodder enemies will drop ammo on death. If you have the currently supported Wolfenstein 3D Weapon Pack installed, they will drop ammo from that. Otherwise, they’ll be dropping default HL2 items.

ConVars:

– wolf3du_corpseondeath (Default is 0. Setting to 1 causes nextbots to disappear, rather than leaving a corpse.)
– wolf3du_lootondeath (Default is 0. Setting to 1 disables nextbots dropping ammo on death.)

Notes:
– For some of the sprites on the nextbots, such as the firing animations and every sprites for the bosses, they face only one direction. This is because Id Software never made sprites that had the original enemies facing multiple directions when firing and only made 8-dir idle and movement sprites for the regular enemies at most, while the bosses never got such treatment at all.

To do:
– Proper sprite projectiles/entities (since DrGBase doesn’t support creation of projectiles and regular entities with similar 2D implementation as the 2D nextbots. What’s currently implemented are placeholders.)
