Copper Republic Pioneer
Also called sappers, pioneers are specialized units that are able to construct structures on the battlefield. They can install gun nests that are very effective against unsuspecting infantry. They are also known for placing landmines, and if done properly, the mine is practically impossible to spot, the only thing being able to reveal it being survey scanners or metal detectors. This is why the pioneer is also equipped with the HWAS (Handheld Wide-Area Scanner), which is able to detect anything if given the right parameters, like landmines or enemy vehicles at a range of up to 600m.
