The Three Cousins – Dawn of the New Order
After a bloody world war, Three Empires emerged victorious. The Kaiserreich, Britannia, and the so called "Third Rome" reign supreme over the world. It was all thanks to three cousins.
Note: I made this for fun, and I do not support Fascism, Communism, or extremism of all types. This is the main lore of The Three Cousins. I will add lore for major nations soon.
How it Began:
It began in 1879, 8 years after Germany’s Unification. In this timeline, Germany never allied with Austria, and looked for more powerful nations to ally with. When Kaiser Wilhelm II Ascended the throne, He had made a new goal for himself and Germany: To unite Britain, Russia, and Germany under one alliance. Together, they would be the most powerful alliance on earth. In his eyes, since all three Kings or Emperors were cousins of each other, they should be able to cooperate and potentially ally with each other. In 1896, The League of the Three Emperors was formed between Britain, Russia, and Germany, as each nation saw each other as a respective power. Germany was treated as a rising militaristic power, Britain as having the most powerful navy on earth, and Russia as a Global Superpower.
The Gathering Storm:
France’s humiliation during the Franco-Prussian War left a scar of hatred in their blood. Since 1871, France had vowed to destroy Germany once and for all because of it. Their "So called ally" Great Britain had abandoned them in order to ally themselves with the Kaiserreich. Because of this, France was alone. However they weren’t the only nation alone. When France was alone, one nation came to them. Austria Hungary. They too were alone without allies as their potential ally of Germany, had also humiliated them on the global stage in the Austro-Prussian War, and threatening the collapse of the Empire. Both had one main enemy: Germany. The Two nations in a similar situation made a new alliance called the Dual Alliance, an alliance to combat the German, British, and Russian Empires. The Ottomans would later join this alliance to combat against Russia. And so, the stage was set for a devastating conflict one the world would never forget. All it needed was a spark.
World War One:
As tensions grew throughout the continent, the tiny nation of Serbia, along with many other Balkan nations, had successfully defeated the Ottoman Empire, and the Tsardom of Bulgaria. And so, they looked north to Bosnia. One Archduke Assassination later, and all of Europe was in flames. After Austria declared war on Serbia, Russia and Germany came to Serbia’s aid. France then declared war on Germany and Russia, and because of this, Britain joined the war on Germany’s side. It was a brutal conflict that lasted until 1918. France was destroyed after the British invasion of Normandy, and the German occupation of Paris, while Austria Collapsed to the Germans at the Battle of Vienna, and German and British Forces were also invading deep into the Ottoman Empire.
The Aftermath:
The Harsh Treaty of Edinburgh dissolved both the Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Empires while France received harsh punishments. They had to de-militarize everything north of the Seine River, Had to pay about 12.5 Billion Dollars in modern money terms, couldn’t have an Air Force and Navy, had to reduce the size of their army to about 100,000 men, and had to cede the territories of Calais, Dunkirk, and Corsica along with all colonial holdings to the Germans and British. This left the French with bitterness about the first world war, and made the people more divided. This would lead to a civil war that lasted from 1919 to 1925, which left the original democratic government in charge. In 1934, The French Fascist Party took over the weak state, and declared the État National Français, or the French National State, vowing to not only bring down the German and British Empires, but also to remove and exterminate them to replace them with French speakers. Only time will tell when the French will strike.
