Sumireko Usami
Sumireko Usami, The Psychic Dreamer, Awakens On Steam Workshop!
Equipped with telekinetic abilities, and plenty of pieces of junk to swing around, Sumireko is a relatively tanky character with large hitboxes. She has a very strong aerial game, and plenty of tools to keep foes at distance on their toes, but struggles with close combat.
For her neutral special, Sumireko drops five cards, and then fires them forward. This attack can be aimed by holding certain directions.
Sumireko places a field of psychic energy on the field. This field can be moved by holding the special button and pressing any direction. Releasing special will cause the field to burst, briefly stunning any foes caught in its radius. Alternatively, pressing shield or jump while holding special allows you to place the field, which can then be detonated at any time afterwards by pressing fspecial again.
Sumireko creates a field of energy around her, and rises upward. This field sucks in opponents who get hit by it. Once Sumireko reaches her highest point, the field bursts, knocking away all foes caught by the attack.
Holding Dspecial activates PSI magnet, a move that absorbs projectiles. Any projectiles that get absorbed contribute to Sumireko’s spellpower meter (this meter can also be filled by hittting opponents, but dspecial gives more spellpower) Once her spellpower meter is full, she gains access to her second dspecial…
…She gets a gun! Very long windup, and very easy to punish, but absolutely devastating if it lands. She only shoots one bullet, which fires straight forward, hitting any opponents ahead of her.
OTHER STUFF:
Dash Attack puts Sumireko in the air. It can be cancelled early by pressing jump, and you can choose which direction you fly in by holding up or down. It also sends out a projectile when she jumps.
If you hit someone with the arms of fstrong, they get sent directly to hell!
