Pacific Meltdown – The Grim Reaper Awakes (Mission 5)
July 21, 1986: Soviet forces landed on Attu Island one week ago, with brutal land, naval, and air combat taking place and resulting in heavy losses for both sides. In order to gain total dominance of the skies and rout the remaining Soviet invaders before reinforcements can be shipped in, the US has redeployed USS Kitty Hawk to the Bering Sea. However, the Soviets are prepared for such an occurence, and have readied a task force centered around the Kirov to counter the US carrier group. Take command of the mighty Kirov and destroy the US battlegroup in what will be one of the most vital moments of the entire war.
