Description:

Frustrated that we don’t have our beloved Akula? Cheer up, comrade, for now we have this amazing dollar-store version of the Akula while we wait for the official one or for the full moding support

The Akula class was developed during the 1980s and only became more prolific in the latter half of the decade, introducing innovations and an unprecedented acoustic performance for Soviet submarine standards at the time, It features more advanced sensors than its predecessors and a robust and flexible arsenal.

-Performance:

(the smaller propulsors on the Victor-class hull, Base hull for the kitbash, they were not submodels. 🙁 )

The propulsion system boasts a total of 50,000 HP, capable of propelling the submarine to speeds of up to 33 knots while submerged, with a diving depth of up to 1,800 feet.

-Sensors

Although not particularly relevant for submarines aiming to maintain stealth, the Akula is equipped with a Snoop Pair "MRKP-58 ‘Radian’," a submarine mounted surface search radar, more capable than its predecessors. Supposedly, it is less susceptible to enemy ESM—if only I knew how to implement that…

MGK-540 Towed Array

Without a doubt, the most capable sensor on the Akula is its towed array, an improvement over the towed component of the MGK-500.

Among other sensors are:

MGK-500 passive/active hull-mounted sonar
Advanced optics
ESM suite

-Armament:

(The tubes should only be observed from distance :P)

4 x 533mm torpedo tubes:
4 x 650mm torpedo tubes

28x 533mm torpedo/missile/decoy
12x 650mm torpedo/missile

(Yes, it’s the RGM-109C model)

SD-10

RK-55 Granat, SD-10 for submarine launched version (NATO: SS-N-21 “Sampson”) is a submarine and ground-launched intermediate range cruise missile produced by the Soviet Union since 1976,Both missiles were capable of carrying a 200 kT nuclear warhead, although the submarine variant had a 410 kg HE option. The RK-55 utilized a booster motor that was jettisoned after launch. The range of the ground variant was 3,000 km, while the submarine variant was capable of 2,400 km. The accuracy of the submarine version is 150 m CEP, considerably less accurate than Tlam.

RPK-7 ”Veter” / RPK-6 ”Vodopad”

The RPK-7 Veter ("Wind" ) is a submarine 65cm tube-launched anti-submarine missile system developed as an alternative to the 533mm RPK-6 Vodopad, the RPK-7 offers an improved range over the ”stallion” of to 46nm, making it a formidable weapon in anti-submarine warfare. This version is equipped with a umgt-1 lightweight torpedo submunition.

In this mod, the RPK-6 "SS-N-16" has received an increased range of 20.5 NM to better align with the capabilities of the RPKs.

TEST-71MK

Retaining wire-guidance the Test-71MK is an Improvement over test-71 with the introduction of ”Keramika”active/passive acoustic seeker. First introduced in 1986, the new sensor allows use against surface targets, in addition to increased rejection of countermeasures and greater capacity in its active mode.

Among other ordnances are:

USET-80
65-76 KIT
MG-74 ”Korund” Decoy
