A history of Torben Rafn:
Torben Rafn started as an independent haulier in 1966. in Sommersted, Denmark. In the beginning, most road materials, agricultural lime, etc. were transported, but gradually the company developed into a modern, versatile haulier business, expanding their driving to within Europe and the Middle East.
Even in Africa you could meet Torben Rafn’s cars. In connection with the Middle East transports, the company gradually became interested in special transports, and thus the foundation was laid for the company’s current activities.
In 1986, Torben Rafn & Ivar Dahl Nielsen jointly established the current Torben Rafn A / S. At that time, the fleet consisted of almost all types of trailer, from curtain to lowboy, but it was decided from the beginning that in the future it was special transports that were to be invested in.
For transporting heavy items, Goldhofer-THP modular block wagons are used, which can be built up as needed. A few years ago, BMS took over Torben Rafns’ equipment, the domicile in Sommersted and most of the employees. However, all the trucks continue to drive with Torben Rafn’s logo and colors.
