Expanded & Enhanced Soundtrack (L4D1 Campaigns)
The L4D1 version is here! Only took ~3 months!
Adds completely new and unique map-specific music events (Quarantines, Slayers, Saferooms, etc…) to campaigns using the level_sounds.txt method.
This mod "works" on multiplayer servers, but it usually breaks on dedicated servers and can even be wonky on local servers if you are not hosting. I really wish this wasn’t the case, but there is no way I can fix it. it’s just how level_sounds are. It might be best to stick to single-player with this mod.
I had to cut a few files due to steam’s workshop size limit, but I will be making a full All-in-One Version that I’ll put out on gamemaps or even google drive. (Just so I can negate the size limits and really make a version that I really want, a "director’s cut" if you will.)
But that’ll be later down the line, right now I just wanna break. I’m very sorry for keeping you all waiting for so long.
Big thank you to Nyx, Mixz (Rook) and Farion for help and ideas as well as Eranthis for the original idea. If it wasn’t for Eranthis I wouldn’t have learned about level_sounds and never woulda made this mod.
Head to the original L4D2 post for a better description of what this mod does. You’ll also need the 3 L4D2 parts if you wanna hear the new jukebox tracks in the sacrifice’s jukebox but it’s not the end of the world if you don’t get them.
