Murranji’s Ogre Bounties Mod

This mod is designed to improve the rewards for the Ogre bounties campaign feature to make completing the bounties more rewarding to actively engage in.

The mod replaces the vanilla reward with a customised reward list:

-Bonus treasury
-Diplomatic standing
-Bonus ancillary along side meat or camp growth

When the reward is already a generic ancillary the bonus ancillary is not offered.

The ancillary reward list provides access to faction specific and exclusive ancillaries that the Ogres would not normally be able to access. All ancillary rewards are normally accessible only to the faction that offer the bounty.

This allows the Ogre Kingdoms to gain access to magic items, banners, and followers they would not usually be able to access. This includes custom crafted items for the dwarfs, tomb kings and dilemma specific for the high elves and dark elves.

What was the values that CA changed for bounties?

1) Bounty reward now has a minimum of 2000 instead of the previous 1500
2) Bounty reward based on distance to target – in most cases this will be above the minimum
3) the total reward is multiplied by 25% when it is a faction leader or province capital target – this bonus is applied before any tech related boosts are applied.

Compatibility

This mod will overwrite other mods that make changes to the bounties issuing function in the ogre contracts script.

FAQ

What ancillaries are available?
Where factions have many faction specific magic items the bounties can offer a variety of weapons, armour, enchanted items etc. Faction specific banners are also included.

In some cases for the game 1 factions there were not many faction specific ancillaries so these can include followers normally only available for those factions.

Ancillaries which are not suitable for use by the Ogre Kingdoms such as banners or followers that only work to buff a faction specific unit, or reduce winds of magic for a lore that the the Ogre cannot access, are not included in the list of available ancillaries.
