RC.602-AA SHORAD
Anti-Aircraft system mounted on a towed carriage. It is armed with a 25mm 6-barreled rotary cannon (minigun) that fires at a rate of 1800 rounds per minute and is fed by a 400-round belt contained in a “magazine” on the platform’s left. Power is provided by an external generator bolted to the carriage.
Very obviously inspired by the M167 VADS. I had this file from a few years back. I think this was originally gonna be a one-to-one copy of the VADS, but I gave up and tried to make it weirdly modern or something which is how it ended up like this.
This AA gun absolutely shreds aircraft, especially helicopters, with its insane ROF. However, this is counteracted by its lengthy 20 second reload time and exposed crew capsule. It also has a slightly harder time with fast moving, high manueverability targets at long-range.
