America had always been a troubled nation, losing the war of 1812, abolising slavery in 1907 and now a horrible economic crisis. The south has always wanted to have more controll over the government. Ever since they expanded the slave states in 1848, they always had a huge amount of power over America. But with the inclusion of Canadian states, the people have gotten way more radical. And it all came down in 1939 when the economic crisis got even worse. And people started protesting. There were 3 major factions: The American Communist Alliance, which consisted of socialists, communists and anarchists. American Unitary Party, which consisted of the American Unitary Party and its Canadian branch. And the Federalists which are mostly non extremists. Many states who were majority Federalists formed temporary councils to keep the chaos under controll and to combat extremists and to help the federal government. Some states are also trying to declare independence, with the Caribbean Federation having the most success since it’s mostly uneffected by the civil war. Outside powers have also taken advantage of the weakend America. Mexico is reclaiming old lands, Colombia is taking Panama, France is supporting Quebec and keeping French citizens in Louisiana safe and Japan is taking American Pacific holdings.
It is still uncertain who will come out on top in this American civil war..
