What is a map plot? Parcels? PCPs?
XCOM2 uses map plots to procedurely generate the levels you play in. A plot contains parcels and other placeholder objects that are arranged in a general layout. When XCOM2 chooses a plot for play, it replaces all the parcels with randomly selected premade assets. The end result is map you can play over and over before realising that it is the same map just with different buildings and such.
Parcels are singular chunks of the space that have buildings and other distinct features. These usually house the objective of the mission.
PCPs are filler spaces like empty wilderness or roads.
Do I need to start a new campaign?
No
Can I just remove the mod at any time?
As long as you saved on the Strategy layer, loading a save on the tactical map may break things
Do I need any missing packages mods?
No
Does this Mod work with other map mods?
Yes! XCOM2 levels are randomly built using whatever is available. More map mods just means more combinations!
I found a bug!
Before you post about finding a bug, make sure you have deleted this folder; [Documents/my games/XCOM2WaroftheChosen/XComgame/Config] and verified your game cache through Steam. This will fix many problems.
Please use the console command ‘x2debugmap’ and click show map and take a screenshot. This is the most effective way for me to find a problem. I may ignore really vague text descriptions.
I dont see it in my mod launcher anymore / It says its not installed
1- unsub
2- delete ModOptions.ini in [MyGames/XCom2/XCom2WaroftheChosen]
3- go to [Steam/Steamapps/Common/XCom2/Xcom2waroftheChosen/XComGame/Config/ModOptions.ini]
Either delete this file and verify your game or edit it and remove all lines wtih my mod
I reccommend the former since this file doesnt seem to clean up properly and may have other crap in here that can be causing you problems
