Worse Ultra Secret Rooms
UPDATE: The latest Repentance update introduced a special pool for Ultra Secret Rooms, making this mod almost identical to its counterpart, Better Ultra Secret Rooms. I suggest everyone move to Better Ultra Secret Rooms, since this mod is most likely going to be discontinued.
Have you ever thought to yourself, "Wow, I’m so tired of all these free angel items in ultra secret rooms"? Want to make the game a bit harder? Then look no further!
This mod adds 125 ultra secret rooms, NONE OF WHICH HAVE FREE ANGEL ITEMS.
Exactly 100 of them do have an item, but from a different pool. There are some themed rooms, like the ones where the item is always related to flies / spiders / bombs / poop / gold / blood / etc, a couple of wannabe "devil deals", or a room with a random glitched item, and so on. Moreover, 88 of these also have a free Soul of Eden that will allow you to reroll the item you got into a completely random one. You can even get something from the angel pool, if you’re lucky.
And, of course, you can always reroll these items into a guaranteed angel deal if you have the means to do it, such as D6, Dice Shard, etc.
In addition, there are 25 rare layouts without a free item. These are:
* 11 rooms with a trapdoor leading to a crawl space;
* 2 rooms with a huge golden chest which may contain 2 items;
* 11 ‘shops’ which can contain an ultra-secret item that you’ll have to buy;
* 1 garbage room with a reversed Moon card, so you can test your luck next time.
Some rooms may have a couple of enemies, so be careful.
Regarding the screenshots that say "OUTDATED": All these rooms are still in the mod, but most of them have been slightly redesigned to have a different item and a Soul of Eden to reroll the said item.
