AS OF V1.02 IF YOU SUBBED FROM SHAMPOO’S VIPER RETEXTURE MOD, YOU MUST UNSUB IT AS THAT MOD WILL OVERRIDE THE UPDATES AND FIXES OF THIS MOD.

Commanders of XCOM, I give you another "new" mod. This time with a big twist… Instead of just hairstyles, I tried something new to add in: armor & helmets!

Inspired by Dor’s Titanfall Gear, this mod adds in Viper from Titanfall 2, one of the Apex Predators Pilots you unfortunately meet in the game! The gear belongs to males ONLY and will be colorable to your liking. It features one default helmet and one custom helmet. The helmets will also be for females too. He also has 3 armors: One with gear, one without, and one with an XCOM symbol for lore. His armor also appears for ALL tiers of armor for the sake of lore & customization.

NOTE: The armor textures & rigging aren’t perfect (as always) as this is my first time dealing with something with armor. Also, I’ll do texture optimizations later. I did my best! Updates will come don’t worry. Just please be patient.

Q1) [OBLIGATORY] Can you do Titanfall 2’s Multiplayer Pilots and/or others?
Yeah I figure you’re going to ask that. As tempting as it sounds, I heard that Facepunch tried to extract the models from the game, only to get a C&D (Cease and Desist for the unfamiliar) from them. I’m not sure that if I try to follow their method, I might meet the same (or worser) fate as them. Then again… the designs do look cool. Not to mention that Viper is also found in SFM & GMod. I’m surprised it hasn’t been taken down yet…

But I’ll give it a shot. I just need their assets first, so be patient.

Q2) WOW! You can do armor now?! Can you do —
Nope. Not yet. I’m WAY too inexperienced to do armor mods. This was a test mod to see how well I did with this. And I won’t do requests.

Q3) Dude. You’ve done a LOT. You deserve it. Can I PLEASE donate?
People have been asking me for that. Back then I didn’t want to do donations.

… And I still won’t do it.

But I do want to hear your opinion on that though. I’ll make a discussion topic here on this mod and see what you guys think. I’m not doing it, but I might make this topic for those that want to do it in the near future.

Q4) Do you think this’ll get taken down?

I saw Viper on GMod and SFM and they’ve been up for a while. Not to mention that Ash from Titanfall 2 was recently reuploaded too on SFM. If by chance that it DOES go down, I will let you know in the Master Mod Collection Discussions tab. I’m a bit weary on that. So I’ll keep a close eye and let you all know should anything arises
