Description:

Absolute Zero is a HL1 mod that aims to recreate beta content of original Half-Life. They did a great work during developement, but sadly the mod is dead atm.
I was able to port and finish (kinda) few maps from the mod, thanks to the sources they released.

Features
  • Maps are merged by chapters, meaning that one map = one chapter
  • Used areas from newest version of maps that weren’t present in mod
  • Added extra details
  • Fixed brushwork and possible bugs
  • NPC models replaced to their beta variants
  • Playable campaign for Half-Life Co-op

Chapters currently done
  • The Portal Device (az_01, az_01a)
  • Anomalous Materials (az_02)
  • Office Warrens (az_03)
  • We’ve Got Hostiles (az_04)
  • Screams and Whispers (az_05)
  • Footfall (az_06)

Notes
  • Half-Life Source content is still required
  • For beta NPCs like Panthereye, Human Sergeant, etc install Half-Life Resurgence addon and they will appear on maps
  • This HUD is strongly recommended
  • While playing in Sandbox, you’ll encounter some issues:
    • Wrong items from breakables or NPCs
    • Sitting scientists stuck in ground (az_01)
    • Overlapping music tracks
    • Weird houndeye hitbox
    • Not working level transitions in multiplayer
    • Players stuck in each other after teleports
    • Unnecessary shining on textures
    • Some other minor stuff I don’t remember

    All these issues were solved in Half-Life Co-op gamemode, so it’s recommended to play maps in it.
