I created this mod many years ago for personal use. Even though Rome 2 is the last game I surpassed 1000 hours in I hadn’t played much in a few years. Well I am back so time to improve this mod to the heights I had envisioned back then.

What is the goal of this mod?

Even though DEI does a lot to this point I still felt like characters and their relation to the three main attributes Authority, Zeal and Subterfuge were unused. If you were to go into a battle with a general with 17 Authority and one with 4, the difference would not be that much. This mod aims to change that.

For each of the three attributes there will be skills that start off negative but as a character ranks up it will turn into a buff for said character. For years this mod just covered fighting generals, but I have now added a second skill that will hurt or help politicians, will more buffs/nerfs coming. This mod is designed to be played with DEI, and as the great DEI mod allows for characters to be posted at cities to act as generals and gain experience.

Before showing what the stats are let me say this. It will appear that in the early game all of your characters will be drains on your faction. While this is true so will every enemy character. I was careful not to use things like Public Order which as a negative in the early game would be hard to overcome. Every stat or skill used can be overcome early but as you specialize your characters and rank up these up, it will help while also making the game more intuitive and fun.

Authority: Morale for General/Admirals force -15% to +15% at levels 1-20 (values cut in half for better balance with DEI mod which this mod is meant to be played with)
Loyalty for that characters political party -10 to +20 This one has an unintended consequence, since ranking
up rival party members will make them for loyal, we now have a reason to use those characters in an active role.

Cunning: Offensive Ambush Chance -25% to +40% at levels 1-20
Ability to detect an enemy ambush for Generals -25% to +40% at levels 1-20
Construction costs from 35% higher to 50% cheaper at level 20. This simulates a characters ability to use guile and clever tactics to get the best deals possible at higher levels.

Zeal: Movement Range -25% to +35% at levels 1-20
Replenishment rate -35% to +50% This simulates a diehard character being able to recruit replacements with gusto. Dont forget the -35 is at Zeal 1, which is very rare.

Check out my mod for agents. It has each agents main attribute as a buff starting around level 7 or 8.

Compatibility – This mod should work with every campaign and every other mod. No other mod changes these values (thats why I made the mod actually). If you run into any problems please let me know.
