Revised Wildlife
A bundle of tweaks to wildlife animals, aimed at improving realism and adding interest to the world and encounters.
Changes:
– A fix for the "unkillable echidna" glitch, where undead echidnas, hedgehogs, and pangolins could become invulnerable while still able to attack. I’ve given them weaker spines, so they can still be pulped when rolled up.
– Cheetahs, ostriches, and foxes have the PET tag, so they are easier to tame and more likely to be domesticated in world gen.
– A huge number of animals have had their spawn frequency and populations adjusted, to hopefully promote encounters with fun wildlife like big cats. Some animals have new or less biomes.
– Buzzards are renamed to turkey vultures. This is the more common name for the real life animal and the one used in formal contexts, as "buzzard" originally referred to and is still used for various species of hawk. I also fixed the description for hares, which referred to them as rodents.
– Various animal baby names are improved.
– Some animals can attack with their horns or antlers when they couldn’t before. Some animals have also gained PRONE_TO_RAGE or generally developed a more aggressive temperament.
– More animals can be trained for hunting or war. I’ve made sure to remove the MEANDERER tag from all trainable animals to optimize their effectiveness.
