Scarab – RE2
The Scarab is a versatile deep space miner, designed for prolonged independent operations in hostile space. Its broadside turret arrangement allows simultaneous mining in both directions, with dedicated mounting points for ALL automated harvester turrets.
If you don’t need the armor, see the Scarab (Carbon) for a much lighter variant.
The Scarab comes equipped with:
- 8 Laser Drills for rapid excavation
- 3 Light Modulated Turrets for drone defense
- 7 constructors & 4 deconstructors enabling efficient on-the-fly ore refining
- An Enhanced Teleporter for convenient trading, and automatic signals for shield toggling.

- Up to 38 turrets (7 large)
- Up to 30/10/5 Cannons (Light/Medium/Heavy)
- All Plasma Generators for efficient operations.
- 4 Advanced Generator slots, and 1 Large Reactor slot.
It has a hangar to carry your planetary SV miner or to stow your faithful POI HV tank. Should you be blown from your cockpit (designed for mining visibility), a backup bridge at the stern ensures you stay in control in the heat of battle.
