[DFW – Danny] Settle to Carlisle – Electric 3.0 – 2026

This route upgrade is based on Danny’s Settle – Carlisle Electric upgrade. Thanks to Danny’s permission i refined the route a bit.

This is a fictitious extension of the original Settle to Carlisle line. It is set in the year 2026 – so it is purely fictional. A large part of the British railway network has been electrified – including the route to Leeds.

This means that a large part of the freight traffic towards Leeds will also be diverted onto this route.

Northern organizes local passenger transport – Freight transport is shared by several companies (there may be some that no longer exist in reality). Intercity service from Carlisle to Leeds are operated by Locomotive Services Limited.

Changes:

– unguarded level crossings removed

– added restricted level crossing

– additional portals added

– additional block sections added

– Objects removed/added

– Line speed changed

– Signals (3 aspects) added

– AWS ramps and general route signs added

– Stations modernised

– New track

– Platforms in Settle and Appleby extended/renewed

– known problem with sunken passengers on platforms in Settle and Appleby could not be solved

– not compatible with previous scenarios (Settle – Carlisle or Dannys Settle – Carlisle Electric)

Don’t expect graphical fireworks – I wasn’t involved in that regard.
