Description:

Mod : Fear’s Armor Mod (and more!)
Creator : FEAR
(Sometimes, in order for the mod to update in the game, you’ll have to re-subscribe, and restart the game somehow. Idk that just works for me sometimes.)

UPDATED 12/10/24

– Added more flat type ERAs (1×2, 2×2, 2×3)
(-suggested by wich cat)

(also yes, i’ll be making more tanks)

Description:
Just a simple mod suitable for armored vehicles like tanks/etc. It contains 1×1 ERA pieces and a 1×2 one, as well as a 1×2 armored window. It’s a WIP, and I just tried to make a mod to pass some time. It also contains more items now, and I will keep adding more random useful/non-useful stuffs 🙂

Also, the armor pieces acts like a weight block, so it can resist shells like AP the same way as a weight block, but the damage area of impact is reduced (the post penetration is the same as before), making HE impact damage to also be reduced, therefore making it effective against HE.

Armor Summary/Features/Notes

  • NEVER put the armor pieces on a subgrid, it won’t perform well. Always put it on the same grid you want to protect.
  • Neighboring/Surrounding subgrids will take damage from HE, because for some reason the pieces can only protect the grid it is on, but at least the total damage will be reduced compared to using default blocks.
  • It’s effective against HE, but acts the same as weight block when it comes to other rounds.
  • Effectiveness against AP, and other shells is the same as weight block.
  • Does not reduce the explosion damage to players.
  • It’s a WIP and I’ll try to add more, I just made this, because I was trying out how to make a mod (my first time, even with blender…lol)

  • Extra note: "you can search for the mod components just by typing "fear" (i added that tag to make things easier), or you can use the sort function. Also, all the mod components are paintable."

More Notes:

  • 1×1 Gimbal Camera (I called it Advanced Tank Camera) takes up a 1×4 voxel space, it’s ideally placed on top of turrets so that shouldn’t be much of an issue. It’s needed to be made that way for the logic nodes to work properly.
  • There is also a "HD" version of the 1×1 monitor in there, equivalent to 3×3 monitor, i just tested it so its still wip. But it already works, just takes 2 voxels (the other voxel is placed 2 blocks high and 2 blocks far from point 0)
