Description:

Box of Disguises implements a total of 10 brand new characters (including the Tainted variants), each with gimmicks that make them interesting and unique. Explore the basement with a new face!

New Characters

All of the changes and additions detailed below have been documented on the Absolution Wiki, which can be found here [sites.google.com].

Ana
  • Starts with Voodoo Head and the Fragmented Card trinket.
  • Can easily earn more trinkets that increase the number of rooms that spawn on each floor.
  • Cursed by the Labyrinth!
  • Her B-Side has to explore most of the floor before entering the boss room, but starts with items to make that easier!

Balaam
  • Starts with his Black Book (which activates a random Book item when used), and the Wooden Cross trinket.
  • Has an increased fire rate that can break the standard cap.
  • His B-Side can easily earn Devil Rooms, but gets hurt more when accepting deals!
Houngan
  • Starts with Stitches and the Crow Heart trinket.
  • Is incredibly slow, but has an increased fire rate that can break the standard cap.
  • Voodoo items appear more often!
  • His B-Side has weak bones, but is more resilient to death!

Mania
  • Starts with Missing No., and a random active item.
  • Can’t get items in the Treasure Room, but gains a random passive item when entering a new floor.
  • All items and trinkets are rerolled at the start of each floor!
  • Their B-Side can reroll item pedestals, but has a chance to cause random glitches or corruptions!

Seraphim
  • Starts with Holy Grail and Holy Light.
  • Can easily earn Angel Rooms, but can only take one item at a time!
  • Their B-Side can temporarily steal a random passive angel item, but can only have Red Hearts!
