Description:

Important!

This is not my mod, it is an updated version of the mod: "A Professional Army for the Empire – Reforged" by TrialAvel

Original here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1688527613

The original is not required to run this version of the mod.

If the original creator wishes so, I will remove my mod from the Workshop.

Thank you for creating this mod!

Overview

This mod adds 8 new late game infantry units for the Empire to use:

– Swordsmen with shields – Reik Schwertkämpfer
– Spearmen with shields – Reik Speerträger
– Halberdiers – Reik Hellebardiere
– Greatswords (with abilities) – Reik Großer Schwertkämpfer
– Crossbowmen – Reik Armbrustschützen
– Handgunners – Reik Füsiliere
– Grenadiers – Reik Grenadiere
– Pikemen – Reik Pikeniere

Changes from the Original Mod

In addition to updating this mod for use with the current version of the game, my version also introduces several changes to original.

The first change is that the units are now available to all Empire factions, and all of the units can be found in either smithing, barracks, or workshop buildings. Also, all units require at least the first tier of the blacksmith building in order to be recruited.

Some of the units have been given extra armour, specifically the polearm and ranged units.

Next, all units are given three passive abilities to reflect their veterancy:

-In Formation: As long as the morale of the unit is not wavering or lower, the unit is granted 10% Physical Resistance and 15% Missile Resistance. This ability replaces the units’ damage resistances that they received in the original version.

-Veterancy: Acts like an in between of Martial Prowess and Martial Mastery. Grants the unit +6 Melee Attack and +10 Melee Defense until the health of the unit falls below 50%.

-Last Stand: When the unit’s health falls below 25%, this ability grants the unit the unbreakable attribute and raises their base and armour piercing melee damage by 15%.

Future of the Mod

Warhammer II is nearing the end of its life cycle. After this next cavalry fix patch, the game most likely won’t receive any major updates. Therefore, I most likely will not expand upon this version of the mod, though suggestions are still welcome and I will continue to update the mod if it gets broken due to an update. I will not port this mod to Warhammer III unless I have permission to and will take it off this workshop if the original creator wishes so.
