Hideous to some, but beautiful to others.

In the year 2000, several Amtrak services on the Northeast Corridor had their branding changed to match that of the recently started Acela Express services.
The Keystone Service, the Empire Service, and the NortheastDirect (Now known as the Northeast Regional) were all re-branded as Acela Regional, with the Clocker service being re-branded as Acela Commuter.
This re-branding caused considerable confusion amongst riders, and the branding changes were rolled back in 2003.
During this short-lived period of Acela-branding, Amfleet coaches and Turboliners were repainted with Acela-themed colours and decals. This livery style was given its own name: Capstone. It followed the same design principals of the Acela Express sets, with repainted coaches feature sweeping blobs of colour and a muted blue theme.
