Three Tier Weapons
This mod creates full three tiers of all of the base weapons. This allows you to, on an individual soldier basis, choose what visual style you would like your soldier to carry through the campaign. This mod requires the longwar SMG mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=577409322
I have, for flavor, made a slight variation in the primary weapons (but nothing majorly unbalancing, I want your visual choice to matter most):
Conventional – One extra ammo
Magnetic – +5% Critical chance
Beam – +5% Aim
These are configurable in the .ini’s. Thanks to JDubya, you can choose three options: 1 – Default, 2 – My Choice, 3- Your choices as edited in the inis. These config files can be located roundabout here: C:SteamLibrarySteamAppsworkshopcontent268500648728232Config
Weapon upgrades progress through their tier, i.e. Mk1 Assault Rifles will progress to Mk2 Assault Rifles with attachments when you research Magnetized Weapons (Changed to weapons upgrade I).
So far, I have not found anything major, and at worst case all of the original weapons are still in. If you’re worried about your favorite save, you may want to back up before trying this.
Known Issues thus far:
– Using a sword type outside of it’s original level will leave an aim bonus on your character screen (+20 aim). This, to the best of my testing, does not effect anything in game (you don’t get better accuracy with your rifle because of it.)
– User defined stats for Pistols, Psi Amps, and Gremlins not accessible yet from the configuration ini.

This mod is me standing on the shoulders of giants. I have begged, borrowed, and in some cases blatantly stole ideas and code from three other great mods. I urge you to check the following out as they might suit your play style more than this mod. I am thankful to the programmers that have contributed to these mods.
Mk Conventional Weapons: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=638567273&searchtext=mk+weapons Great ini files and setup that I have blatantly used.
Retroactive Upgrades: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=630101688&searchtext=retroactive A lion share of code had already been done by Tsybil
