Class 150/2
The Class 150/2 ‘Sprinter’ units combine practical design with simple, reliable engineering resulting in a highly versatile workhorse ideal for a wide variety routes. The 75mph diesel powered units feature comfortable seating for 136 people with the option to add a third centre car and expand capacity even further. In Nimby Rails, a variety of consists are available including 2, 3, 2+2 and 3+3 units.
Produced by BREL York in 1984, these trains have become a favourite among UK rail fans due in part to their exciting, characteristic engine roar and brutish appearance. They can be seen today under the ownership of many train operating companies with many enjoying substantial refurbishments bringing them up to cutting edge modern standards.
