Race to the bottom – Battle of the GIUK gap
It’s June 26th, 1985, as the war begins to simmer as both sides slow down their offences. Iceland has been fully occupied, and newly constructed ships have been sent to reinforce this forward position. This and they are very capable airwing have been providing protection for a while. However early this morning several enemy signals have been reported as well as a WARSAT report that 2 groups are closing in, we suspect they have EMCON orders and will be hard to detect. You mission is to defend the strategic and newly deployed assets as well as our anchored landing group that just delivered supplies. We suspect we may see more forces arrive from over Greenland so watch out.
