LORE

The Ironmonger was once an armoured transport ship utilised for carrying heavy loads of ore to and from contested asteroid fields. That was, until it fell afoul of a Skaar raider group patrolling the periphery of its mining sector. The ship was captured and returned to Skaar Raider Outpost August, where it was earmarked for salvage until a Skaar raider commander by the name of Stanchion saw the use it may serve in his raiding fleet. The ship was then put to use transporting light fighters, deploying combat drones, and hauling the spoils of war back to the raider outpost.
The Ironmonger became the backbone of the most successful Skaar raider group in the upper quadrant, and now it is in your possession…

STOCK FEATURES

The Ironmonger is fitted with a standard shield, standard warp drive, full med bay, 2x240K ammo bays, 1x200K harvest bay, 1x640k storage bay, 3 cargo boxes, fridge and food processor, 2 passenger seats, armor locker, weapon locker, armor repair, landing pad, gravity generator, wifi, and detector.

The hangar may serve as a module bay for a production/refining module, storage for a mining CV (I recommend the M3 Miner by Ente, which i have designed the bay to fit perfectly), a drone deployment bay, or a plain old combat nose when the combat blast doors are deployed.

Upgrade options

The ship has locations to add 2x advanced, 2x superior, and 2 quantum CPU cores, a teleporter, 8x small shield parts, 6x medium shield parts, 4xlarge shield parks, 2x fusion reactor, 4x addition constructors/deconstructors, long range radar, 17x turret mount positions, and 8x hardpoint positions when the nose is adapted to fit the additional 4.

Combat
The outer hull is constructed from steel, with select bits of hardened steel and combat steel in critical locations. The front of the ship serves as a large combat nose with inbuilt blast doors that can extend to cover the hangar when it is empty. The interior is built with carbon substrate and cargo extensions. The ship does not come with any weapons stock, but has 17x turret mounts, 4 cannon hardpoints, and 4 additional hardpoints if you delete some blocks in the noses with room for many more to be retrofitted if you are creative. The internals are designed to fit every upgrade you could want, allowing this to compete at all levels of the game.
