⚠️ Update Notes
The mod has been (finally) updated to the newest Steam release of Anbennar, Inheritors of Insyaa, released on May 8th 2026.
The total narrated event count dramatically increased from ~14k to over 21k events, adding almost 100 hours of new narration.
This includes not only new events that have been added to Anbennar, but countless events that were not properly narrated before (mostly Vanilla events).

Important: Do not use both the Vanilla and Anbennar versions at the same time. If you play Anbennar, only use the Anbennar mod.
I have also released the build scripts on Github (see below).
As of the time of upload (May 9th 2026), this version should also be fine to use with the current GitLab version of Anbennar.
I will update the GitLab version of this mod later on, when more new content has been added.

🎧 How It Works
When an event fires, a Play button will appear next to the date panel.
You can click it (or press the V hotkey – also reassignable normally ingame) to play narration for the currently open event.
– Pick and choose which events you want to hear.
– Narration continues even if the event is closed.
– Note: once started, playback cannot be stopped. Starting another narration while one is playing will make them talk over each other.
– Narration volume is controlled via the Effects Volume slider in-game.
This mod can be enabled or disabled on running saves without issue.

🧭 Game Version Compatibility
This mod requires an Anbennar version based on EU4 1.37.x.x.
Older versions will not work.
This release was built for the current Steam release of Anbennar, Inheritors of Insyaa.

🛠️ Compatibility
Fully compatible with most mods—except those that alter topbar.gui (typically interface mods like Artemis UI). However, the base Anbennar mod itself is already not compatible with those mods to begin with as it also alters topbar.gui.

⚠️ AI Voice Warning
This mod uses AI-generated voiceover. You may encounter:
– Occasional weird pronunciations
– Slight degradation at the end of long sentences
– Some strange wording due to dynamic localization replacements
I’ve worked hard to clean these up, but there are thousands of event lines and edge cases—so the occasional oddity is expected.
Dynamic loc like `[Root.Monarch.GetName]` has been replaced with generic wording using an LLM.
Most of it is solid. Some might get… quirky.

A few events may lack narration due to:
– Weird edge cases in event logic
– Entire events written in dynamic loc

🛠️ Build Tools
I have also uploaded the build scripts for the mod to Github, this will allow you to make your own versions of this mod using your desired voice(s).
These build scripts come as-is, and while they are somehwat commented, I will not provide any support for those.
You should probably only play with those if you have at least an intermediate understanding of Powershell (and WSL if you want to setup your own LLM/TTS Endpoints).

📌 Final Notes
This is version 2.1 of the mod.
Over 21,500 event descriptions have been narrated, processed, and implemented with love (and PowerShell).
If you enjoy immersive narration, this mod adds a whole new storytelling layer to Anbennar.
