Century Of Dust – The New West, is a fictional scenario set in the 2203. The scenario follows the aftermath of massive catastrophic sandstorms, hurricanes, floods and other disasters across the world, as humanity tries to rebuild.
TURN OFF THE AI OF WASTELAND TERRITORY!
And to make the game immersive, you should change the APDA state names when they get big. (e.g APDA Carolina State -> APDA East Coast State, APDA Arizona State -> APDA Southwest State)
Main Factions:
American People Defense Agency : APDA (American People Defense Agency) is a faction created in 2189, 2 years after the storms had begun.
Their goal is to establish a dystopian state across the wasteland, but is stopped by many other factions.
The Sturmborn : The Sturmborn is a faction in Mexico, established in 2192. Right at the border, they are a warlord state whos goal is to dominate and control the deserts, they are viewed as dangerous because of the acts they committed since the start of the fall of civilization.
Lore:
In 2180s, research and technology was at its peak, but there was the flaws of global tensions, pollution, global warming and the greenhouse effect was destroying the climate over the years.
The world leaders and company CEOs swore to protect the globe since 2000, but soon the inevitable came in 2187.
Careless leaders and money-hungry, corrupt CEOs were responsible for this giant, massive disaster.
2187, 2nd of May was the exact date the world had gone to hell, giant tsunamis, hurricanes, typhoons across the pacific and atlantic. A chain of unprecedented earthquakes shattered the entire Pacific Ring Of Fire, sending continent-cracking shockwaves across Eurasia and the Americas. Giant sandstorms engulfed the West Coast, turned the Mississippi Rivers into toxic trickle, and set the Amazon on fire.
Following this fateful day, governments collapsed, one by one.
Towards 2200 the storms had calmed, and the surface seemed liveable again.
And now in 2203, a new century, a Century Of Dust.
